On Friday the Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, Oleg Butković, visited the Pelješac Bridge with the Deputy Dubrovnik-Neretva Prefect Joško Cebal, and the President of Croatian Roads Administration Josip Škorić.

In a statement for the media after visiting the Peljesac Bridge the minister said he was satisfied with the end of the project.

"The Peljesac Bridge with a part of access roads will be opened at the end of July," said the Minister Butković. However, not all of the access roads to the bridge will be completed when the Pelješac Bridge opens. “We still have those eight kilometres of the Ston bypass and, of course, the connection to the state road D8, which should be completed by the end of this year," concluded Minister Oleg Butković. Adding that "we have successfully completed the most important infrastructure project in Croatia today. We are connecting the territory.”
