According to official figures there were close to 8,000 tourists in Dubrovnik this week, which is seven times more than at the same period from last year.

The tourist season has certainly started on the front foot in Dubrovnik and the Easter period really kicked off the season.

The most numerous guests are from the United Kingdom, followed by tourists from France, Croatia, the USA, Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland and Poland.

And the indicators for the rest of May are excellent, with a large number of UK tourists expected.
