The first gay bar in Dubrovnik will open it's doors to the public this weekend. It is a new, first gay bar located in the old town between stone streets and historic buildings, called Milk.

Wanting to offer something that Dubrovnik really lacks, the owners made an effort to turn the interior of the bar into something completely different and authentic.

With its sights, Dubrovnik has crept under the skin of lovers of historical heritage, but also all those who crave a good time. Although the city, which is called the 'Adriatic Pearl', offers a rich gastronomic offer, locals and foreign tourists still lack places reminiscent of the world's largest metropolises. On this occasion, Dubrovnik caterers decided to enrich the 'City surrounded by walls' with a new location that will attract LGBTQ + population.

They found inspiration in the best London members club Annabel's. Since the mentioned club was a kind of model, the Milk bar space is dominated by mirrors, velvet, colourful flowers, animal patterns, as well as other indispensable details reminiscent of popular places in world capitals. In this whole story about landscaping, special attention is paid to superior sound, air conditioning and ventilation, as well as sumptuous ambient lighting. Lighting is one of the trump cards that photogenically captures attention at the very entrance, and the flowers hanging from the ceiling are reminiscent of urban wilderness. The entire interior design is signed by the architect Bojan Šupeljak, known for his numerous world projects.

Wanting to offer something that Dubrovnik really lacks, the owners made an effort to turn the interior of the bar into something completely different and authentic. The goal of this project is to at least speak for itself and to make everyone who comes there feel welcome. But the most important thing in the whole story is that the guests feel comfortable and that is why, undoubtedly, Milk bar will become a unique place in Croatia that will be enjoyed by locals and many foreign tourists at any time of year. Milk is a refreshment whose colourful concept is believed to be followed by many other cities along the Croatian coast.
