United Airlines have reported a continuing strong demand for flight tickets between New York and Dubrovnik this summer. Dubrovnik is the only Croatian city that has direct flights from the US and news that demand for tickets is strong, even with the Ukrainian war, will be welcome news for the city’s tourism industry.
“We have not seen any softness in terms of demand [to Croatia]”, Patrick Quayle, United’s Senior Vice President of International Network and Alliances, said, reports Ex-Yu Aviation. And he added that there might be some impact on demand for connections to cities further east in countries like Poland and Romania that are served by United’s partner Lufthansa.
United Airlines will connect Dubrovnik with Newark Airport in New York four times a week with the inaugural flight expected on the 27th of May. And according to reports the business class section for this first flight from New York to Dubrovnik is already sold out.
