Over 6,000 tourists in Dubrovnik as Easter week begins

Written by  Apr 14, 2022

The Easter week has begun and Dubrovnik is enjoying not only a period of calm and warm weather but also a significant number of international tourists. In the first half of the “Holy Week” there were almost 6,200 tourists in the city, according to official figures from the registrations system eVisitor.

And this weekend in Dubrovnik around 70 airplanes will land at Dubrovnik airport as the season starts in earnest.

The figure of 6,200 tourists in the city is a massive 13 times more than from the same period from last year, although comparing to last year’s pandemic effected season is challenging. And 56 percent of the number of guests in the record breaking year of 2019. And of course, these figures don’t include the number of cruise ship passengers in the city.

The most numerous guests are from Great Britain, Germany, Croatia, France, Ireland, the USA, Austria, Spain, Belgium and Denmark.
