The Dubrovnik Tourist Board is currently exhibiting at the IMTM travel fair in Tel Aviv promoting the tourist offer of the city. The fair, which started yesterday and runs until the 30th of March, is one of the most important travel shows in Israel.
The stand of the Tourist Board of the City of Dubrovnik was visited by the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Israel, Vesela Mrđen Korać, and the cultural attaché of the Republic of Croatia Goran Vidošević and the organizer of the IMTM fair Oryl Spangul. Almost 1,900 exhibitors from 57 countries are present at the travel show and over 25,000 visitors are expected.
To add to the promotion of Dubrovnik on the Israeli market, the Dubrovnik Tourist Board shot a video about the rich Jewish heritage in Dubrovnik. The aim of the five-minute video is to present the Jewish history of Dubrovnik and the Republic of Dubrovnik and to point out the extremely long and unbreakable connection of the City with its Jewish population. The video was recorded in Hebrew, with English subtitles, and the author and presenter is an experienced guide and member of the Jewish community in Dubrovnik, Matija Singer.
The promotional video is used for promotion on social networks in the Israeli market and also for distribution to Israeli travel agencies, airlines and other partners.
Since Israel is one of the most active countries in the world for travellers appearing at the fair in Tel Aviv positive growth is expected in the Israeli market.
