Close to 1,400 tourists stayed in Dubrovnik this week, which is three and a half times more than at the same period last year, according to official figures from the tourist check-in system eVisitor. This figure represents 38 percent of the number of guests from the record breaking year of 2019.

However, the eVisitor system measures guest check-in and check-out and clearly some Ukrainians have found themselves being counted as tourists. The most numerous guests this week were firstly Croatia, followed by guests from Austria, France, Germany, USA, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Italy and Great Britain.

The tourist season really gets into full swing in Dubrovnik around the Easter weekend, when more flights start landing, so we can expect a slow climb in tourism numbers until the middle of April when the number of guests will rise drastically.
