Get your woolly hats, gloves and scarves ready it is about to get extremely cold in Dubrovnik. The past few days have seen temperatures constantly falling and combined with the whistling north wind the real feel is below zero!

It is going to be a very cold start to the week with a cold wave to roll over the south of Croatia with highs expected to be around 5 degrees tomorrow and lows down to -2 degrees. And a yellow warning for wind has been released, meaning that the north wind will bring an arctic wind chill factor. Accuweather predicts that the real fell tomorrow will be around -1 through the day and – 5 at night.

The wind is predicted to reach top speeds of 43 km/h through the day and 37 km/h at night.

The average temperature for this time of the year is a high of 12 degrees and a low of 5 degrees and last year on the same date it was 13 degrees.

The good news is that the cold spell should only last for a couple of days and by Wednesday temperatures should start to rise as the wind changes direction, bringing with it wetter yet warmer weather.
