October is Dubrovnik is ending in fine form for the tourism industry as around 6,500 tourists spent the weekend in the city. The weather might not be up to the normal October standards but tourism is having a solid post-season.
According to eVisitor system, which measures the registration of guests, last weekend there were close to 6,500 tourists in Dubrovnik, which is almost five times more than at the time last year, however only 52 percent of the figure from 2019.
Once again the most numerous guests were from Great Britain, followed by tourists from Germany, the USA, France, Croatia, Austria, Ireland, Russia, the Netherlands and Spain.
Since the beginning of the year, close to 494,500 tourist arrivals and 1,830,000 overnight stays have been registered, which is 44 percent of tourist traffic in the same period in 2019. However, it must be taken into account that 2019 was a record breaking year as far as tourism numbers are concerned in Dubrovnik.
