The Mayor of the City of Dubrovnik, Mato Franković, and the Acting Head of the Administrative Department for Construction and Project Management, Paula Pikunić Vugdelija, held a working meeting with the project manager from the company IGH, Vedran Kosović, and his associate, Nataša Dedo. Kosović reported that the demanding demolition and excavation works for the foundations have been completed, a tower crane has been installed and the construction of a reinforced concrete structure is in progress. The construction of foundations, which includes the execution of formwork and reinforcement, as well as the concreting of foundations, which began in August, is nearing completion. In parallel with the completion of foundations, the concrete slab and the basement walls of the building are constructed.
It was pointed out at the meeting that the course of the works follows a dynamic plan and that there are no major problems in the execution of construction and works. According to the announcements, the construction works will be completed in April 2022, followed by equipping and then obtaining all the required permits.
As a reminder, 690 square meters of the existing building have been retained and an upgrade of about 620 square meters of additional space is planned. The extension, upgrade and conversion of the building from the given facility will provide a comfortable space divided into five floors intended for the accommodation of 48 retirees in 32 accommodation units.
