Pelješac proving an absolute magnet for tourists this summer

Written by  Aug 22, 2021

The tourist season on Pelješac is continuing very successfully continuing this August and has reached, and in some places beatean, the tourism numbers from pre-pandemic 2019. According to information from the main tourist boards on Pelješac there are currently 15,000 guests staying in the region, which is 4,500 more than last year and at the same level as 2019.

This season, as predicted by travel experts, regions that are away from the hustle and bustle of city centres are much more interesting for tourists, and this can certainly be seen in tourism figures in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County. The majority of tourists on Pelješac are staying in Orebić, which is understandable as it has the most hotels and accomodation units, and 9,800 guests are staying there at the moment. Hotels and camps are running at full capacity and the indicators for the post-season are positive.

From the doom and gloom that started the year 2021 has turned out to be a busy year for Pelješac.
