The beautiful island of Korcula has found itself on a list of the 50 Best Islands in the World. On the popular travel website Big 7 Korcula was actually ranked in fifth position on the list, which was topped by Lummi Island, Washington.
“Korcula is one of the must-visit destinations on Croatia’s South Dalmatian coast. It’s a little further out to get to than most of the other islands, so you can enjoy less crowds and a more laid-back feel,” wrote Big 7 travel on Korcula.
And added that “People call Korcula Town “Little Dubrovnik” because of its medieval squares, churches, palaces and houses, while the beaches and dense forest offer incredible scenery.”
In fourth position was Sommarøy, Norway, in third Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu and in second place was Palawan in the Philippines.
