Dubrovnik Airport recorded a sharp increase in the number of scheduled flights from numerous European cities, meaning that last weekend there were almost 150 aircraft operations on scheduled flights in Dubrovnik.
Unlike last summer when the number of flights to Dubrovnik Airport was relatively low, this summer the situation is significantly different. Numerous airlines started flying to Dubrovnik in June, and a large number waited to early July, reports Croatian Aviation.
Last Saturday, there were more than 70 aircraft operations on almost 35 scheduled flights to Dubrovnik. In addition to Dubrovnik's connection with European capitals, two American airlines were in Dubrovnik on Saturday - Delta Air Lines and United Airlines with flights from New York.
Croatia Airlines had the largest number of routes to Dubrovnik, connecting it with Zagreb, Frankfurt, Rome, Zurich, Paris, Athens and Munich.
In June 2019, as many as 415,876 passengers passed through Dubrovnik Airport, in June 2020 only 10,592, while in June this year almost 60,000 used the airport.
