Adriatic SeaChange is pleased (and a little proud) to announce their schedule of events for Digital Nomads in Dubrovnik for June 2021. They are opening the summer with a varied range of events for digital nomads, and indeed guests to the region.
Their ambitious five-month long program of events this year aims to highlight the very best that the Dubrovnik region has to offer, allowing their digital nomads to dive deep into the traditions and cultures, as well as making memories that will last for a life time. They’ll take all guests on a journey of discovery through the hidden gems and open their eyes to a new side of the region. “From small acorns oak trees can grow. This whole idea started with a relatively small event we held in Dubrovnik. They wanted to channel the massive promotion for the city from these digital nomads into a long-term sustainable project. And private businesses have been quick to recognise the added value and join in,” said co-founder of the Dubrovnik based agency, Barbara Loncaric Lucic.
Adriatic SeaChange specialises in a different kind of tourism, offering relocation, accommodation and lifestyle services for remote workers and digital nomads worldwide, combining the founders’ experience in tourism with knowledge of the legal systems and processes in Croatia to make living and working remotely in Croatia possible for pretty much anyone. And now they've opened up a whole new range of activities for the nomads in the region, they're spreading the love across the county.
“In spite of the challenging times in which we find ourselves we’ve succeeded in putting together a comprehensive event package this summer. We are combining the very best of local knowledge with international flavour,” said Barbara Loncaric Lucic.
All of the events that they've organised throughout the year concentrate on the core values as an agency – these core values are based around offering nomads a truly local experience, allowing them, with correct guidance, to dive into Croatia. This core value is enhanced by making sure that all events are sustainable, environmentally friendly and responsible.
And for the inaugural month they've included a special package of events to cover World Wellbeing Week with their digital nomads, Gillie Sutherland from the UK. “When positive minds and creative people come together you can move mountains. It’s amazing what we’ve achieved and the feedback from my international clientele has been overwhelming, this is such a great advert for the city and everyone involved should feel so proud,” stated Sutherland.
A special week-long set of happenings based around a journey through the elements – Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space! World Wellbeing Week will be marked in Dubrovnik with a bang! “This will be the first time ever in Dubrovnik that World Wellbeing Week has been celebrated and we’re excited to team up with so many businesses and hotels in the city, this really shows the advantages of local co-operation into an international project,” added Barbara Loncaric Lucic.
They also have a rather interesting day out on the island of Lokrum (with a twist) and a unique insight into the production of olives (yes, oil will be available).
And to bring the whole summer long program to a larger audience Adriatic SeaChange have joined forces with the leading website T-Portal and regular updates and articles from Dubrovnik will be published. All events, news and photos will be published on the website digitalnomads.hr which covers themes exclusively for digital nomads, as well as the T-Portal platform, There is no Plan(et) B which covers ecological, wellbeing and sustainable living themes.
Some highlights of this year’s event calendar include – Adriatic Island-Hopping in which nomads would not only be able to visit the Elpahite Islands but also to help clean beaches. Nomad Table – participants would first visit the fields where the fruit and vegetables are grown, pick them and then be served a traditional meal. Show Cooking Dubrovnik Style – a leading chef would show our nomads how to prepare a traditional Dubrovnik dish. And then the participants would try the same dish as part of a meal. Gems of Vardia – the production of olives where nomads could actually pick the olives and see the production of oil. Safari Neretva Style – getting a different perspective of the nature of the Neretva delta. In Vino Veritas – the wines of Peljesac. From harvesting the grapes to the actual production.
And much, much more. Every month they’ll release a new program so that participants can prepare their diary. It’s going to be a busy summer in the Dubrovnik region, so join them on a journey.
