Jump on in the Adriatic is crystal, clear in Dubrovnik – first check of the year

Written by  Jun 02, 2021

Every summer season the beaches of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County are regularly checked to make sure that the sea water reaches a required standard. These findings are then made public so that if any beaches are failing to meet the required level swimmers will be aware.

The first of these checks was carried out on the 121 public beaches of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County from the 17th to the 27 of May.

“According to the program for determining the quality of the sea beaches of Dubrovnik-Neretva County for 2021, the Public Health Institute of Dubrovnik-Neretva County conducted the first regular sea test on 121 beaches in the period from 17 to 27 May 2021,” stated the county.

And the good news is that all beaches across the county passed the first test of the summer with the highest score. The sea on all 121 beaches was rated as a sea of excellent quality.

So feel free to jump in the Adriatic in Dubrovnik, even though it might still be rather “refreshing” with temperatures around the 20 degree mark.
