Korcula has been declared the safest Croatian island for a paradise vacation. Forbes magazine placed it on the list of the 12 safest islands in Europe, reports Dnevnik.hr.
For tourists who want to come to Korcula, restaurant owners from the island commented “We're ready for the season. We will adhere to all measures, that is the only way to determine the quality of the season,” said the caterer Damir Sardelić.
To enter the list of the safest islands a few factors were crucial, including how they are handling the pandemic, how many Covid-19 patients they have and whether they recognize the vaccination certificate.
"I must also point out that vaccination actions have been very well received in Korcula lately and that we are sure that guests will feel safe," said the director of the Korcula Tourist Board, Hana Turudic. Guests, she says, will easily get to the necessary tests, and caterers and renters are ready.
"We are glad that Dubrovnik has finally got airlines that mean something to us for our guests and that we are waiting eagerly," said Sardelić. They are hoping for better results compared to last summer. "We already have three catamaran lines, in addition to ferry lines, and we expect two more lines soon," Turudic said.
