According to the eVisitor tourist check-in and check-out system, 7,509 tourist arrivals were recorded in Dubrovnik in April 2021, while only 147 arrivals were recorded in April last year, 22,961 overnight stays were recorded, and in April 2020 5,132 overnight stays.
Most guests who stayed in Dubrovnik during April were from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the USA, Slovenia, Germany, Serbia, Poland, France, Ukraine and the United Kingdom. According to the report for nautical activities, 159 arrivals and 1,128 overnight stays were recorded in Dubrovnik in April, which confirms the slow but sure start of the nautical season.
The positive trend and growth of tourist traffic in Dubrovnik continues in May. From 1 to 4 May 2021, 1,504 arrivals were recorded, and 5,087 overnight stays were realized. This represents an increase of about 3,660 percent in arrivals and 780 percent in overnight stays compared to 2020. However, clearly last year was greatly affected by the pandemic and the subsequent lockdown and restrictions on tourist movements.
Currently, 17 hotels have been opened in Dubrovnik, and by mid-May, Dubrovnik Airport will be directly connected to seven direct international airlines, after which more intensive tourist traffic is expected.
From January 1 to April 30, 2021, 16,124 tourists stayed in Dubrovnik and 51,476 overnight stays were realized.
