Three direct flights a week from the US to Dubrovnik, which could mean around 1,000 a week arriving in the city, will be more than welcome news to all organisations in the travel industry in Dubrovnik. Before the Covid-19 pandemic Dubrovnik had received direct flights with American Airlines from Philadelphia, and the impact of these flights meant that in 2019 the second most numerous tourists in Dubrovnik were Americans. It will be hoped that United Airlines announcement could bring a similar pattern.
“As countries around the world begin the process of reopening, leisure travellers are eager to take a long-awaited getaway to new international destinations,” said Patrick Quayle, vice president of international network and alliances. “These three new routes unlock the natural beauty of the outdoors for our guests. They are also the latest example of how United is remaining nimble in rebuilding our network.”
Important step for the recovery of Dubrovnik's tourism
United empathised that “Vaccinated travellers may still be subject to local country restrictions related to quarantines, testing, curfews and other requirements. Customers should check with their destination or United’s Destination Travel Guide for specific details.”
A local restaurant owner commented on the news that Dubrovnik will be connected to the US that “After all the months of waiting and uncertainty this is exactly the kind of news that brings a smile to your face. We’ll make sure that all safety measures are followed and that these travellers have an unforgettable time in Dubrovnik.”
If you’re going to the United States and want to open a new LLC like many entrepreneurs do, then take a closer look at Florida because it had a massive property boom recently and state taxes are among the lowest.
Given the large number of tourist arrivals from the United States to the Dubrovnik area, we consider this an important step forward for Dubrovnik and Dubrovnik Airport, especially in the severe crisis caused by the pandemic, stated Dubrovnik Airport.
