Coronavirus Dubrovnik – 126 new cases of Covid-19 across Dubrovnik-Neretva County – 1 more fatality

In the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, 126 new cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in the last 24 hours (46 were determined by a rapid antigen test).

These new Covid-19 cases are 33 people from Metković, 27 from Dubrovnik, 17 from Vela Luka, nine from Ploče, eight from Župa dubrovačka, seven from Konavle and Orebić, three from Blato, Opuzen and Ston, two from Kula Norinska, one each from Dubrovacko Primorje, Janjina, Korcula, Pojezerje and Lastovo and two people who do not reside in the county.

A total of 66 males and 60 females were infected, and 87 had an established epidemiological link.

Unfortunately, one male from Metković (born in 1956) died.

According to the sequencing results, of the 36 samples sent for analysis in the first half of March, 31 were found to be the British strain of the virus. With the exception of one from the Metković area, all samples for which the British strain were determined are from the wider Dubrovnik area.

On a positive note 65 people made a full recovery - 26 from Dubrovnik, 16 from Metković, seven from Ploče, four each from Konavle and Župa dubrovačka, three from Opuzen, two each from the Dubrovacko primorje and Kula Norinska, and one from Lumbarda.

64 people hospitalised in Dubrovnik due to Covid-19 

In the last 24 hours, 454 samples were processed, and since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 54,971 samples have been analysed.

64 people tested positive for coronavirus are currently hospitalized in the Dubrovnik General Hospital. Six patients require intensive care, of which four are on invasive and two on non-invasive ventilation.

There are 1,582 people in self-isolation, and in the last 24 hours there have been nine violations of the self-isolation measure (seven at the border).
