The first mass vaccination against Covid-19 in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County will be held this Monday the 8th of March in the sport’s centre in Gospino polje.
Priority groups will be the first to get vaccinated, including people over 65 and parents of children with disabilities. In this first mass vaccine process in Dubrovnik a total of 510 doses of Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca will be administered, announced the director of the Dubrovnik Health Center Branko Bazdan.
“So far, we have vaccinated exclusively through family doctor surgeries, which we will continue to do, but on Monday we will start a new way of vaccination, expecting larger amounts of vaccines over time, so we are getting used to this way for future mass vaccination,” the director of the Dubrovnik Health Centre, Branko Bazdan, commented. Adding that “So far it is only 510 doses of vaccine, which is not really a mass vaccination, but we hope for the arrival of larger quantities in the future.”
In the area covered by the Dubrovnik Health Centre, from Janjina on Pelješac to Vitaljina in Konavle, 1,700 people have been vaccinated so far, said director Bazdan.
