From tomorrow, Dinara will officially become a Nature Park, the 12th in the Republic of Croatia, along with the eight national parks.
On this occasion, the mountain with the highest peak in the Republic of Croatia, was visited by the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Tomislav Ćorić, accompanied by members of the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service.
Coric's ministry will manage the new Nature Park until a public institution is established.
The Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (GSS) members will have an important role in the work of the Dinara Nature Park - it was emphasized after the meeting.
“The place of GSS in this story is significant and great. All our members are mountaineers and they go there, it is our house. But also as far as the safety of all future guests is concerned, people who want to come to this area, we are the ones who will take care of it," said Josip Granić, head of the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service.
