The Centre for Entrepreneurship of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County invited all interested parties to a virtual motivational lecture "Crisis as an opportunity" which will be held yesterday. How to learn lessons and indeed grow from the pandemic experience was discussed.
The lecture series continued with the presentation of examples of good practice and experiences of successful women entrepreneurs who recognized the opportunity during the Covid-19 crisis and managed to turn their business around.
Two of the speakers at the virtual lecture were the co-founders of Adriatic Sea Change, Barbara Lončarić Lučić and Suzana Livaja. Their agency specializes in counselling and assistance services for digital nomads. Croatia was one of the first countries in the world to offer a 12-month digital visa for digital nomads, and whilst the process might at first sight look simple first impressions aren’t always what they seem. And that is where this digital duo comes in.
The agency was created almost accidentally after the two future co-owners met during the lockdown period when Suzana Livaja was in Dubrovnik as a digital nomad. By combining the experience of Suzana Livaja and local knowledge of Barbara Lončarić Lučić, the story of an agency that can provide all services in one place was completed, a one-stop-shop for digital nomads. From legal issues, visas, assistance in communication with consulates, to help with accommodation, co-working space and local experiences, Adriatic Sea Change is at the service of all digital nomads who want to come live and work in Croatia.
And the pair explained at yesterday’s lecture their business plan and who indeed they have managed to start and grow a business in the challenges of a global pandemic.
