The Pile Park in front of the histroic Old City of Dubrovnik will undergo a complete reconstruction, and the main project with all the cost estimates of the works, will be made by the end of this year so that the works can be started next year, according to a statement from the City of Dubrovnik. 

The project solution by Studio Landa d.o.o. for landscape architecture was agreed with the Conservation Department in Dubrovnik, and refers to previous designs and elements of the park, and especially to the original condition from the period between 1905 and 1926.

Through the competent administrative department for construction and project management, the City of Dubrovnik developed a conceptual design, based on a historical study which recorded and evaluated the existing condition.

In addition to the open social part of the park for rest and recreation and the children's playground, the solution also envisages landscaping, horticultural landscaping, replacement of the old and installation of new completely urban equipment and lighting. The park will be enriched with plants and new trees, which will create much-needed shaded areas.
