A mild earthquake hit the Zagreb area shortly after 11:30 pm on Sunday night. Although not strong, many Zagreb residents are still very sensitive to ground vibrations, especially those living on higher floors. Social networks were soon full of comments from alarmed citizens who were shaken from their sleep, reports RTL. A magnitude 1.9 earthquake shook Zagreb shortly after 11:30 p.m.
According to the EMSC, the quake was 1.9 degrees, eight kilometres northeast of Zagreb, and it was the second earthquake to shake the capital on Sunday. The first was a strength of 1.6 around 4 in the morning.
