At this morning’s press conference of the National Civil Protection Headquarters of the Republic of Croatia, the director of the Croatian Public Health, Krunoslav Capak, revealed when we can expect a reduction in the number of new cases of Covid-19.
“There are prediction models, ours say there will be a reduction in the number of patients, in late September or early October the curve will drop significantly downwards,” Capak said.
He went on to further explain the reasoning behind this calculation.
"There is a certain mathematical model that by entering data on new patients and other parameters, population mobility, for example. Our model that we use in the Croatian Public Health Institute, but also some other models, have shown for some time that we have introduced good measures and that our numbers will start to fall. A downward trend is expected.”
He concluded that “These are mathematical models that can always be changed by some new event or data. But as things stand now, the model shows a significant drop in late September, early October,” he said.
