Coronavirus Croatia – worst day for new Covid-19 cases in Croatia – 180 new infections

It may not be Friday but the 13th of August 2020 is not a good day for Croatia in terms of new cases of Covid-19. Over the past 24 hours 180 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded across the country, the worst day for new cases of the virus since the pandemic began. There are now 811 infected people, or active cases, of Covid-19 in Croatia.

115 people are hospitalised in Croatia due to the virus and 10 patients are on a ventilator, and unfortunately over the past 24-hour period one person passed away.

Since February 25, 2020, when the first case of infection was recorded in Croatia, a total of 6,050 people have been infected with the new coronavirus, of which 161 have died and 5,078 have recovered. There are currently 2,752 people in self-isolation. To date, a total of 133,493 people have been tested, of which 1,201 in the last 24 hours.

The City of Zagreb and the Split-Dalmatia County saw the most number of new cases, with both recording 41 new cases.
