Expected drop in issued invoices in Croatia – catering and hospitality hardest hit

In all activities from the fiscalization system, the number of invoices decreased by 19 percent last week compared to the comparable week last year, and their amount by 15 percent, according to the latest data from the Tax Administration.

In the period from July 27 to August 2 this year, 46.1 million invoices were issued in all industries, which is 19 percent less than in the comparable week last year.

The total value of the invoices last week reached 4.35 billion Kuna, which is 15 percent less than in the same period last year.

The number of invoices in trade fell by 17 percent, to 26.2 million, and the amount of invoices by 9 percent, to 2.7 billion Kuna.

At the same time, 21 percent fewer invoices were issued in the hospitality and tourism sector, a total of 9.2 million, and the amount was reduced by 28 percent, to HRK 914 million.

In the provision of accommodation and catering, the number of fiscalized invoices decreased by 45 percent, to 105.8 million, while the value of invoices decreased by 52 percent and amounted to HRK 6.5 billion.
