Organized by the Croatian Tourist Board in Frankfurt, the Dubrovnik-Neretva County Tourist Board and the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, the German Deutsche Welle television crew and editor Elisabeth Koetter are in Dubrovnik, filming a TV report on Dubrovnik. Deutsche Welle satellite program is broadcast worldwide on four channels - in English, German, Spanish and Arabic, and the broadcasting service is also available in 30 different foreign languages.
"Dubrovnik contains an ideal combination of history, culture and sunny weather, making it an ideal choice for Deutsche Welle's travel TV report. The TV report will show the cultural heritage of Dubrovnik, and will be broadcast in the popular show "Check - in". The people of Dubrovnik completely delighted us with their hospitality and that is why we will return to Dubrovnik and continue to discover and film the entire region", said the director Elisabeth Koetter.
Deutsche Welle is not the only German television to record in Dubrovnik this July. Recently, a report on Dubrovnik was filmed by the German television ProSieben for the popular show Taff, as well as by the German TV company ARD / WDR.
The German market is one of the most important travel markets in Dubrovnik. In previous years, German tourists were in third place on the top list of the most numerous guests in Dubrovnik, and this year in July they are in first place. Last year, 111,446 German tourists stayed in Dubrovnik.
Dubrovnik is connected by direct flights to several German destinations. Croatia Airlines connects Frankfurt and Dubrovnik five times a week, once a week Düsseldorf and once a week Munich, while Lufthansa connects Dubrovnik and Munich four times a week and Dubrovnik and Frankfurt four times a week.
