The provisional hospital that was set up in Zagreb in one of the largest indoor stadiums “Arena” will next week be dissembled, states the National Civil Protection Headquarters.
The largest temporary hospital in Croatia was set up to be ready to handle an eventual overflow of COVID-19 patients that the hospitals throughout the country couldn’t accommodate. However, thankfully, no patients spent even a second in the Arena complex as the hospitals coped with enough beds.
"We will go in succession. There are 270 beds on each floor, with lodges for health care workers because it is thought that some may have to sleep in the Arena,” stated the headquarters.
