Almost 60 percent of companies have reported losses of up to 500,000 Kuna and if the situation persists 11 percent are expecting losses in excess of 1 million Kuna.

In a survey carried out by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce eighty percent of companies answered that they would feel the effects of the coronavirus crisis. "Tourism, agriculture and transport continue to be the most affected, and because of the decision to cancel mass gatherings, arts, entertainment and recreation have now entered the most endangered industries. Six percent of small businesses said they would close down if the situation lasts for another month,” commented the President of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, Luka Burilovic.

Travel agencies were the first to be hit by the crisis, so it's no surprise that over half of them report a 20 to 60 percent drop in bookings.

Nearly 2,000 companies from all over the country participated in the survey.
