McDonalds restaurants in Croatia to close to prevent spread of coronavirus

As of Tuesday all McDonalds restaurants in Croatia will close to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The decision was taken by McDonalds to close as a measure to prevent the spread of the coronavirus epidemic and to protect the health and safety of McDonald's employees and guests, stated the company.

Guests will be able to pick up their orders at McDrive and by delivery, in accordance with a decision by the National Civil Protection Headquarters. As for restaurants in shopping malls, and according to the instructions of the malls themselves, these restaurants remain open for now.

"Just as we are responsible for serving guests safe food, we are also responsible to employees who need to ensure a safe working environment. Their safety and health are our priority. With strict adherence to the quality, hygiene and cleanliness procedures we carry out, we consider the closure of restaurants are one of the measures we will take to ensure that security and help prevent the spread of the epidemic, "said Pavel Pavlicek, McDonald's Croatia director.
