Turkish citizen tries to smuggle medical protective masks in Croatia

At the Bajakovo border crossing, authorized customs officers on March 8th prevented an attempt to smuggle 1140 pieces of medical protective masks, which were in the bus with Turkish license plates.

On entering the customs territory of the Union at the Bajakovo border crossing, a Turkish national did not register medical protective masks found in the luggage space of the vehicle.

For a misdemeanor in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Implementation of the EU Customs Legislation, a citizen of the Republic of Turkey was issued a misdemeanor warrant and fined in the amount of 60 thousand kuna! The goods found that were the subject of the offense were confiscated in favor of the Republic of Croatia.
