Croatian army moved from Iraq to Kuwait

According to a decision by the NATO Alliance to relocate the mission from Iraq to Kuwait, members of the Croatian Army have been redeployed from Baghdad to Kuwait and are safe, the Croatian Ministry of Defence has reported.

Fourteen members of the Croatian Army have been deployed to Kuwait, and a further seven members of the second Croatian contingent who have completed the mission will be returned to Croatia.

We are monitoring the security situation with the Allies and appropriate decisions will be made in coordination with the Allies. We emphasize that the safety of Croatian soldiers is paramount, commented the Ministry.
