Traffic jams all over Croatia expected during the weekend

After the previous, first weekend of July, traffic jams will continue during this weekend, as many Croatian citizens will go on vacation, while the holidays in the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany start too.

Many tourists from these countries will choose one of the tourist centers on the Adriatic for their holiday destination or go through Croatia towards destinations in the east of Europe.

The Croatian Autoclub (HAK) herefore announced the traffic forecast.

Traffic jams are expected from today, Friday, July 12th, until Monday, July 15th, and peak of the jams is expected on Saturday, July 13rd from 4 am to 5 pm. During the morning traffic jams are expected in the direction of the sea, and from noon in the direction of the interior. During Sunday, July 14th, traffic jams are expected in the afternoon in the direction of the interior (especially from 9am to 3pm).

During today, the biggest crowd is expected at the border crossings with Slovenia, and on the A3 Bregana-Lipovac highway in the east (especially from 11 am to 8 pm).

On Saturday, HAK's traffic forecast expects crowds: on the Zagreb Bypass (A3) from Jankomir or Buzina towards the Lucko billing station, especially during the Saturday early morning and morning hours; on the A1 / A6 motorway, between Lucko and Bosiljevo node 2 (both directions); at the Istrian Y (to the border crossings Kastel and Plovanija); at the border crossings with Slovenia (Macelj), Serbia (Bajakovo) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (Stara Gradiska, Slavonski Brod, Maljevac, Metkovic) and Montenegro (Karasovići); in ferry ports to the islands of Cres, Rab, Pag, as well as the ferry ports of Zadar and Split.
