Alexander Van der Bellen, the Austrian President, will visit Croatia on an official trip from this Monday during which he will meet with Croatian President, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic.
Van Der Bellen, a member of the Austrian Green Party, is a strong supporter of the European Union and during his two-day visit to Croatia he will meet with the Prime Minster, Andrej Plenkovic. He also plans to take part in a Croatian-Austrian business forum on Tuesday in Zagreb which will focus on infrastructure, with a highlight on the railway system.
Austria is one of Croatia's biggest partners in investment and trade, and every year about 1.2 million Austrian tourists visit the Croatian Adriatic coast.
