Croatia’s silver winning World Cup team are in high demand from the leading European football clubs and the latest possible transfer surrounds another midfield ace. According to reports in the Italian media the Inter Milan player and star of the World Cup in Russia, Marcelo Brozović, is on the radar of Tottenham. Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is looking to bolster his midfield and he has Brozović in his sights.
Pochettino sees Brozović as the perfect solution for his midfield and is hoping to make the deal before the end of the transfer window. Allegedly Marcelo is also ready to move to London, and the transfer is very close to realization with only the last details remaining.
The 25-year-old Croat arrived at Inter in the summer of 2016 from Zagreb's Dinamo. He has played 112 games for the Italian club and scored 18 goals and has 19 assists.
Brozović attracted potential buyers with his outstanding performances in the 2018 World Cup in Russia, where he set a record for the distance covered in one game, against England in the semi-finals, with 16 kilometres and 339 metres.
