Mamma Mia puts the island of Vis under the spotlight – again

By  Jul 19, 2018

With Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again release date coming up (tomorrow it should hit box offices), Croatian filming location - the island of Vis has been put under the spotlight again. The Guardian has published an article titled Vis island, Croatia: how can I resist your Mamma Mia charms?, followed by the Telegraph's article Introducing Vis – the beautiful Croatian island that’s starring in Mamma Mia 2!

What a great promotion for this small, but beautiful island, that delights everybody who visit it.

-Vis feels like Greece designed by the Dutch: mellow but practical and efficient. It’s not a big island; it takes about 15 minutes to drive from Vis town to the other main hub of Komiža – explains the Guardian, bringing really detailed information about the island.

The Telegraph also brings a lot of information, with a funny ending:

-It was on a scooter trip across Vis that Adrian Bridge fell for the island’s sleepy character and undiscovered charm, although how long this will last post-Mamma Mia 2! remains to be seen. Go right this minute, before Pierce Brosnan starts singing.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, the sequel to Universal's movie hit Mamma Mia, has been filmed on the island of Vis during the September and October last year. From the trailer it's clear that the scenes from the beautiful Croatian island will take a big part of the movie.

The filming of the Croatian part of a new sequel of the popular romantic comedy hit from 2008, engaged more than 270 filmmakers and statists from Croatia. ‘’Mamma Mia’’ producers were extremely satisfied with their experience of filming in our country. All the crew members were enchanted by the island of Vis. We can't wait to see the movie!
