Epic Week in Croatia – campaign that reached more than 50 million people

More than 50 million people reached and more than 60 thousand news fans on social networks -these are the results of the third campaign of the Croatian Tourist Board: "Epic Week in Croatia" promoted on social networks - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.

- This is a promotional campaign launched to encourage fans and tourists to create their dream vacation that they will spend in Croatia. As part of the campaign, a competition was created through a list of activities that the tourist can experience in Croatia. Our goal is to show Croatia as a country with rich and wide offer where everyone can find interesting things for themselves. The excellent results of this creative and interactive campaign, especially in Austria, Germany, the UK, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic and Scandinavia confirm the popularity of Croatia on the international market - said Croatian Tourist Board director Kristjan Stanicic.

The third part of the "Epic Week in Croatia" campaign included a competition through which potential tourists could create their ideal vacation choosing between 218 activities that they could experience in Croatia. The concept of the campaign and the competition was to select the top seven activities that make the dream vacation and participants could choose the locations, sights, cities, and the flavors they want to try and taste during their stay in Croatia. In this fun game, this year, over 12,000 fans participated in the top seven activities selected on their social network profiles. Those participants that got the highest number of likes were in the finals
and the main prize was won by the person who had the best argued description why she deserves an ideal vacation in Croatia.
The most creative was Sophia from Great Britain, who created the original video release. Sophia will experience some of the seven activities she has chosen in Croatia, such as kayaking on the Karlovac rivers, paragliding in Istria, zipline in Omis or a visit to the Krka waterfalls, and she is already ready for her holiday with the enviable knowledge of Croatian regions, culture , food, and even learned the words of the Croatian anthem.
