Croatia ranked 30th when it comes to availability and quality of health care

Croatia is the 30th in the world by availability and quality of health care, according to the Lancet magazine – HRT reports.

The research included an analysis of the entire spectrum of various diseases with a potentially deadly outcome that can be prevented by effective prevention and treatment of the health system.

Countries and regions are ranked according to the results of the Health Access and Quality Index (HAQ) from 2016, with 100 being the highest and 0 being the lowest index.

The most successful country on this criterion is Iceland with index 97, followed by Norway, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Australia – HRT published.

Croatia is ranked 30th with index 87, one place behind the United States.

Of the neighboring countries, Italy is ninth, Slovenia is on the 21st position, Hungary is 40th and Montenegro is 42nd. Serbia is 50th, and Bosnia and Herzegovina is placed on the 62nd position.

At the bottom of the list with index 19 there are the Central African Republic and Somalia.
