Promotional video of Croatian Tourist Board is the best in the world

Promotional video of the Croatian Tourist Board "Ambassadors of Croatian Tourism", which in a short time achieved multi-millionaire audience on foreign broadcasting markets won the prestigious ‘Travel Video Award’ in the category ‘Best Video by a Tourism Organization’. That was decided by the American professional and representative jury Citizine Networks and National Association of Broadcasters, but it was also recognized by the audience – in online voting they proclaimed the Croatian video to be the best tourist promotional video in 2017.

The ceremony was held in the center of Las Vegas, in the House of Blues, and Philip DeBevoise, the founder and president of the Citizine Management Board, gave the award to the director of the Croatian Tourist Board Kristjan Stanicic.

-With great joy and pride we received news about the candidacy of our promotional video in the category for the best video by a tourism organization and winning the prize is a great joy and satisfaction for us. This is a confirmation that in the Croatian Tourist Board, together with our partners, we create top-level promotional items that are internationally recognized and accepted by the profession but also by many travel lovers around the world - said Stanicic, adding that special thanks goes to all who have participated in any way in creating a promotional video, and all those who contributed to the winning of this valuable prize by voting.

-Congratulations to all the finalists and nominees who presented their great projects. It is a matter of prestige to win the prize in such a strong competition – Stanicic said.

The awards were given in a total of 9 categories, in which more than 360 projects were collected and each category had four finalists. Croatian Tourist Board promotional video won in the category for the best promotional video by a tourism organization, for which 44 applications were received, while promotional videos of Croatia, Peru, Colombia and Jordan were in the finals.
The promotional video "Ambassadors of Croatian Tourism" was filmed on different recognizable locations in Croatia and was attended by 10 famous people from the world of sports and arts, including Luka Modric, Ivan Rakitic, Mario Mandzukic, Mateo Kovacic, Dejan Lovren , Dario Saric, Marin Cilic, 2Cellos, Maksim Mrvica and Zrinka Cvitesic. With this promotional video, Croatia is additionally positioned on the international market through well-known and successful personalities, and besides the famous Croatian destinations, the video promotes other forms of Croatian tourist offer, such as cultural and historical heritage, eno-gastronomy, active vacation, natural beauties and other segments Croatian tourism.

-This award is proof of Croatia's successful market positioning in foreign markets and a confirmation of the progressive approach of presenting the tourism potential of our country around the world. I am extremely proud of my team at the Ministry of Tourism which has proactively and innovatively joined this project and has created a promotional video with the Croatian Tourist Board whose quality has been recognized by the world's professional public - said Minster of Tourism Gari Cappelli and congratulated everyone who worked on this the project and contributed to the presentation of Croatia as an attractive tourist destination that, with its diversified offer on the coast and the continent, attracts tourists from all over the world.
