The World Economic Forum (WEF) has published its Inclusive Development Index (IDI), which is, as they claim, is an alternative to measuring the development of a country at the GDP growth rate.

The Inclusive Development Index shows the development of national economies by living standards and sustainability.

By the success of coordinating growth, equality and sustainability, 103 world countries were ranked on the WEF list. Among growing economies, Croatia placed as the 7th country following Lithuania, Hungary, Azerbaijan, Latvia, Poland and Panama and ahead of members of G20 such as Turkey, Brazil, India, China, Russia etc.

Among the Top 10 developed national economies are Norway, Island, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Ireland, Australia and Austria.

The World Economic Forum emphasized that growing economies in Europe, such as Croatia, benefited from the membership in the European Union, which led to an increase in living standard and decreased wealth inequality.
