Croatian Radio and Television (HRT) is starting broadcast the most successful Croatian TV production in history.
The first episode of the gastronomic travel documentary Croatia's Finest, hosted by the Masterchef winner Dhruv Baker, was broadcast on national television last night.
Croatia’s Finest is the first big Croatian culinary travelogue in English being filmed on locations across Croatia, and starring the British MasterChef Dhruv Baker. Twenty episodes (each 25 minutes in duration) are professionally produced and they present Croatia’s gastronomy, cities, natural attractions and products.
The broadcast of the first and only Croatian gastronomic travel documentary in English started on the Asian markets and even in some parts of Africa from the 1st of October 2016. When the show was presented to a potential audience of over half a billion people, it was among the TOP 10 watched shows on the National Geographic Channel Asia channel.
The Croatia's Finest includes 20 half-hour episodes that were filmed on some of the most beautiful locations throughout Croatia. On each of all those locations, Baker cooked in the open where no one has ever cooked before such as by the Sea organ and the Greeting to the Sun on the Zadar waterfront, on the Zlatni rat beach on Brač, at the Pula Arena amphitheatre in Pula etc. Baker's culinary creations, made of fresh local groceries, were inspired by original Croatian dishes.
Croatia’s Finest is being broadcasted in almost 100 countries around the globe covered by National Geographic Channel Asia in the whole of Asia and Holiday & Cruise TV-Sky Channel in Great Britain as well as by TV stations in Russia. Thus, this project enables a huge audience to get to know Croatia better, its rich cultural heritage, natural beauties and supreme gastronomic offer.
