The national British daily newspaper, The Telegraph, has published the list of the 30 most beautiful towns in Europe, and it includes a small coastal town in Croatia in a lofty ninth position.
The Japanese Association of Travel Agents (JATA) had to select thirty smaller destinations to promote to holidaymakers. They made a list of the 30 prettiest towns in Europe, which also features the small Croatian town of Rovinj located in the Istria region.
“The car-free old town is made up of Venetian-era pastel coloured houses built around a pretty fishing harbour and overlooked by a hilltop church,” writes the Croatia expert Jane Foster. “The food is pretty good too, with local cuisine influenced by the region’s affinity with Italy.”
