fDi Magazine, the business edition of the Financial Times, has ranked Croatia the seventh country for investment in tourism among 43 world tourist destinations.
Apart from the high seventh place on the fDi Magazine’s list, Croatia received a special Editor’s Choice Award, along with Belize and Jamaica, as one of the countries with the largest progress in the field of improving tourist infrastructure, accommodation, initiatives for tourism development and for investment in hotels and cruise segment.
‘’Croatia as a tourist destination achieves better results each year. We are especially satisfied with the fact that these results are accompanied by a continuous work on innovations and encouraging further investments. In 2018, investments in Croatian tourism are expected to rise by 15 percent in comparison to this year and almost 40 percent compared to 2016.
These announcements are the best indicator that Croatia is attractive for investments’’, commented the Minister of Tourism Gari Cappelli.
According to fDi Magazine’s list, the Top 20 Tourism Locations Of The Future 2017/18 are Thailand, Maldives, Hong Kong, Greece, Montenegro, Dominican Republic, Croatia, Panama, Georgia, Saint Lucia, Cape Verde, Antigua, Cyprus, Jamaica, Macau, Luxembourg, Malta, Seychelles, Dominica and Belize.
