Croatian younger generations travelling more and more

By  Dec 05, 2017

Dubrovnik has a reputation as a destination for the slightly more seasoned traveller. With a lack of nightclubs, and nightlife in general, the city tends to attract couples over 45 years-old who are looking to enjoy a romantic weekend break.

However according to the latest figures from the European organisation Eurostat the younger generations of Croatia are starting to holiday more and more. In 2014 the number of homegrown Croatian tourists between the ages of 25 and 34 who holidayed in the country was 210,322.

However, two years later, in 2016, this figure had almost doubled to 376,058. Whether it is thanks to an increase in music festivals, a rise in Airbnb apartments or the various international film productions is unknown.
