IMF sees bright future for Croatian economy IMF sees bright future for Croatian economy

IMF predicts solid growth of Croatian economy

Written by  Mark Thomas Oct 13, 2017

According to the IMF Croatia’s economy should grow by 2.9 percent this year which is better than originally forecast by this international association. They also predict that 2018 will also see a growth, although slower than this year, with 2.7 percent expected.

This forecast could be connected to the fact that the IMF sees a drop in the rate of unemployment in Croatia, which this year is predicted to finish at 13.9 percent and in 2018 drop slightly to 13.5 percent.

Although this rise in economic growth in Croatia is positive news it is also some way behind the rest of the world. Global economic growth is predicted to be around 3.6 percent this year and rising to 3.7 percent next year.
