The ferry ‘’Dubrovnik’’ which connects the port of Italy with the port of Dubrovnik will also connect Montenegro and Italy this summer.
Upon agreement on cooperation recently signed by representatives of the maritime company ‘’Barska plovidba’’ from neighbouring Montenegro and Jadrolinija from Croatia, the ferry ‘’Dubrovnik’’ will set sail on its maiden voyage from the port of Bar (Montenegro) to Bari on the 26th of May.
The ferry will operate on the route Bar-Bari-Bar once a week during May, September, October and November, and twice a week during the summer months of June, July and August.
In a press release for the Montenegrin media, ‘’Barska plovidba’’ commented that Jadrolinija’s offer was the most favourable one, and that the company would only benefit from the business cooperation with the renowned and oldest ferry company on the Adriatic.
The ferry ‘’Dubrovnik’’ is 122.06 metres long, 18.82 metres wide, and 12.55 metres in height, whilst the ferry’s top speed is 20 knots. It has 149 cabins with 457 beds, and has a maximum capacity for 1,300 passengers and around 300 cars.
