The investor climate in Croatia has been improving lately thus more foreign investment in the country is on the horizon. This time, the investment is coming from Ukraine and one of the richest Ukrainians’ Vadim Novinski.
Vadim Novinski, the owner of the biggest shipyards in Ukraine whose wealth Forbes estimated at around two billion dollars and his business partner Anderi Klyamko are owners of many metallurgical companies in Ukraine as part of their Smart Holding Group. Recently Novinski visited Croatia in order to discuss the future cooperation between Croatian and Ukrainian shipyards.
On this occasion, the Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic hosted Novinski and they reached an agreement on Novinski's visit to ''Brodotrogir'' in February in order to organize cooperation with the Croatian shipyard from Trogir near Split.
During the meeting the Prime Minister emphasized the government's support and the importance of this cooperation between shipyards from Croatia and Ukraine in order to make them even more competitive on the markets worldwide.
In addition, Ivica Piric the president of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce in Croatia commented, ''Apart from the shipbuilding industry, Ukrainians are very interested in the construction sector such as roads and bridge construction. Croatian companies have great experience in this segment''.
