Consumer prices in Croatia rose by 1.6% in September compared to the same month last year, according to data released on Wednesday by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS), marking the lowest inflation rate since March 2021.

The DZS released its second estimate of the consumer price index, indicating that the inflation rate in September was 1.6% compared to September 2023, while consumer prices increased by an average of 0.4% compared to the previous month, August.

This confirms the first estimate released on September 1 regarding year-on-year inflation trends, while slightly adjusting the monthly rate, which was initially estimated at 0.3%.

Following inflation rates of 3.3% in May, 2.4% in June, 2.2% in July, and 1.8% in August, inflation has continued its trend of slowing year-on-year, with the September rise in consumer prices of 1.6% being the lowest since March 2021, when it was at 1.2%.
