Our best athlete Sandra Elkasević secured Croatia's fifth medal at the Olympic Games in Paris. She won the bronze in discus throw.

With a throw of 67.51 meters in the third round, Sandra Elkasević won the bronze in Paris! Chinese athlete Bin Feng had the same throw, but she secured the silver due to a better second throw. The gold went to the brilliant American Valarie Allman, who defended her gold from Tokyo three years ago with a throw of 69.50 meters.

This is Sandra's third Olympic medal, having won gold in London in 2012 and Rio de Janeiro in 2016. Additionally, she has been a two-time world champion, seven-time European champion, and six-time Diamond League winner. Truly, a phenomenal career, and it's not over yet. With this, she has reached an impressive 15 medals from major competitions (Olympics, World Championships, European Championships).

Furthermore, this is Croatia's fifth medal in Paris, following the golds from judo from Barbara Matić and rowing brothers Sinković, the silver of tennis player Donna Vekić, and the bronze of shooter Miran Maričić.
